Mary Anderson Appointed As Chief Deputy District Attorney

The position of Chief Deputy District Attorney has been vacant since July 2011. District Attorney, Patrick Flaherty is pleased to announce “that I have appointed Deschutes County deputy district attorney Mary Anderson. Ms. Anderson is well-known and highly respected in the Deschutes County criminal justice community as a talented trial lawyer, instructor and mentor. She has earned the unqualified respect of her colleagues and circuit court judges. I have great confidence that Ms. Anderson will carry out the functions of Chief Deputy with the same diligence and skill she has demonstrated throughout her legal career of nearly 17 years. During that time, Mary has been a prosecutor in Douglas County and Deschutes County and has worked in private practice”.
