Thomas Bray Case Re-Scheduled For Additional Charge

 On October 19^th, 2011, a Deschutes County Grand Jury returned a new indictment charging the defendant, Thomas Bray, with eleven crimes.  The first four counts pertain to crimes committed against a young woman on February 11^th, 2011, including Rape in the First Degree, Strangulation, and Assault in the Second Degree. Defendant is charged with a second count of Strangulation occurring on February 24^th, 2011.  The defendant had previously been charged with the remaining counts pertaining to a separate victim of rape occurring on February  25^th, 2011.   Trial was scheduled to begin on December 6^th, 2011, however, after arraignment on the new charges, the defendant requested more time to prepare for trial.  Judge Tiktin re-scheduled the trial to the earliest date defendant’s attorney was available, July 16^th, 2012.  There will be a hearing on several pre-trial motions on February 7^th, 2012.
