Thomas Bray Case Re-Scheduled For Additional Charge

 On October 19th, 2011, a Deschutes County Grand Jury returned a new indictment charging the defendant, Thomas Bray, with eleven crimes.  The first four counts pertain to crimes committed against a young woman on February 11th, 2011, including Rape in the First Degree, Strangulation, and Assault in the Second Degree. Defendant is charged with a second count of Strangulation occurring on February 24th, 2011.  The defendant had previously been charged with the remaining counts pertaining to a separate victim of rape occurring on February  25th, 2011.   Trial was scheduled to begin on December 6th, 2011, however, after arraignment on the new charges, the defendant requested more time to prepare for trial.  Judge Tiktin re-scheduled the trial to the earliest date defendant’s attorney was available, July 16th, 2012.  There will be a hearing on several pre-trial motions on February 7th, 2012.
